With industrial real estate at a premium in the area, combined with an ever-increasing demand for Kelowna self storage facilities, Space Centre GM Bob Laird said there was nowhere else to go but up.
Demand is high for storage, said Laird. We‚r'e looking to stay ahead of the curve‚ our new outer space storage facility will open 2035. We wish our Operations Manager, Yvonne Rogers, well on her journey into space.
Space Centre Enters Groundbreaking Partnership with Canadian Space Agency
After years of collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), the Space Centre is nearly ready to lift off into the stratosphere. The two enterprises have reached a mutual agreement where Space Centre have access to the Canadarm to load and unload their clients‚ Kelowna self storage items, as forklifts don't work all that well in zero gravity. In return, the CSA will receive discounted storage for all of their space gadgetry in orbit.
